What materials do you use?
We work primarily with 14K and 18K yellow gold, sterling silver, and platinum. Our gemstones include natural turquoise (Royston, Yungai, and other premium varieties), amethyst, citrine, sky blue topaz, and lab-grown diamonds. All materials are responsibly sourced and carefully selected for quality.

Is your jewelry handmade?
Many of our pieces are handcrafted in our Tucson, Arizona studio, including custom designs and select turquoise jewelry. Some items, like our gold chains, are sourced from trusted suppliers and curated specifically for our collection. Each product page indicates whether the piece is handmade by Austin Pierson Jewelry.

What is 14K gold?
14K gold is 58.3% pure gold mixed with durable alloy metals. It's the perfect balance of beauty, durability, and value for everyday jewelry. It won't tarnish and will last for generations with proper care.

Do you use real turquoise?
Yes! We exclusively use natural, genuine turquoise from premium American mines including Royston and Kingman. Each stone has unique natural variations in color and matrix patterns.

Custom & Made-to-Order

Do you create custom jewelry?
Absolutely! Custom design is one of our specialties. Whether you want to modify an existing design or create something completely unique, we'll work with you from concept to completion. Email us at jewelry@austinpierson.com to start your custom project.

How long does custom jewelry take?
Custom projects typically take 4-8 weeks depending on complexity. This includes design consultation, CAD rendering (if needed), your approval, production, and finishing. We'll provide a specific timeline when we discuss your project.

What does "made-to-order" mean?
Some pieces are crafted specifically for you after you order, rather than being kept in stock. This allows us to offer more options while maintaining quality. Made-to-order items typically ship within 2-4 weeks.

Can I see my custom design before it's made?
Yes! For custom projects, we provide detailed sketches or CAD renderings for your approval before we begin production. You'll have the opportunity to request changes to ensure it's exactly what you want.

Ordering & Shipping

How long will my order take to arrive?
Ready-to-ship items are processed within 1-3 business days and typically arrive within 2-5 business days via USPS Priority Mail. Made-to-order pieces require 2-4 weeks for production before shipping. You'll receive tracking information as soon as your order ships.

Do you offer free shipping?
Yes! We offer free standard shipping on all orders over $200 within the United States.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. International shipping rates are calculated at checkout. Please note that you may be responsible for customs duties and taxes in your country.

Is my package insured?
Yes, all orders are shipped with full insurance coverage and tracking at no additional cost to you.

Sizing & Fit

How do I know my ring size?
We recommend getting professionally sized at a local jeweler for the most accurate measurement. You can also order an inexpensive ring sizer online. If you're between sizes, we generally recommend sizing up for comfort.

Can you resize rings?
Many of our rings can be resized, and are happy to resize your jewelry as well. Resizing starts at $50. Resizing fees vary depending on the piece and may take 2-3 weeks. Some designs (like eternity bands or those with stones all around) cannot be resized.

What chain length should I choose?
For pendants, 18" is the most popular length for women and sits at the collarbone. 20" sits a bit lower. 16" is a choker length. For men, 20-24" is most common. If you're unsure, measure a chain you currently wear and love.

Care & Maintenance

How do I care for my gold jewelry?
Gold is very low-maintenance! Clean with warm water and mild soap using a soft brush. Avoid harsh chemicals and remove jewelry before swimming or exercising. Store in a soft pouch or jewelry box to prevent scratches.

How do I care for sterling silver?
Sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time when exposed to air. Polish regularly with a silver polishing cloth to restore shine. Store in an airtight bag when not wearing. Avoid contact with lotions, perfumes, and chlorine.

How do I care for turquoise jewelry?
Turquoise is porous and can be damaged by chemicals, oils, and water. Remove before washing hands, swimming, or applying lotions. Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth only. Never use ultrasonic cleaners or harsh chemicals. With proper care, turquoise will develop a beautiful patina over time.

Do you offer jewelry repair?
Yes! We offer repair services for jewelry purchased from us and pieces from other jewelers. Contact us with photos and a description of the issue for a quote. Common repairs include resizing, stone replacement, chain repair, and polishing.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return policy?
We offer a 30-day return policy on unworn, undamaged items in original condition. Custom, engraved, and personalized pieces cannot be returned. See our full Shipping & Returns policy for complete details.

Can I exchange my jewelry?
